WHAT DOES A SURVEY CONSIST OF?
In general, a survey is an in-depth examination
of the vessel with all anomalies sighted addressed,
and with an overall evaluation of the vessel
made by a trained observer.
The following items should be addressed in
any adequately prepared report:
EQUIPMENT & OPTIONS
FAIR MARKET VALUE
Complete Equipment List:
With serial numbers if sighted.
The establishment of the vessel's
fair market value taking into consideration
all sources available.
Recommendations:
A comprehensive report of all major deficiencies
affecting the structure or safety of the
vessel.
Observations:
A comprehensive report of all minor deficiencies
of a cosmetic or general nature.
**Our surveyors do not conduct
mechanical surveys or top of the mast inspections.
We can, however, supply a list of local contractors
who perform these inspections upon request
for a separate fee.
